Injured

Injuries are personal.

They ultimately carry scars.

Scars can be both visible and invisible. She caries both.

She feels like she prefers the physical scars. They are relevant. They are tangible. They are visible.

The physical pain is often temporary and although the scars that are physical can be grotesque or beautiful as judged by the eyes of a beholder, she feels that the pain has long ago ceased.

The pain dissipated and mellowed, faded over time. Unlike the pain of an injury to a brain. The rewritten narrative for those decades of words that can bounce around in the caverns of the vacant cavities of rooms in her mind that are assigned to house each pain while taking up more space and occasionally seeping out into the reality of her days.

As the royal jelly of the bee that serves as a healing element to the physical scar, she seeks the remedies that fade the scars of that which cannot be seen.

She types her words and the rooms that were assigned to house the space in her mind are vacated, allowing room for new growth, new healing, new life.
