Incidentally

A poem

In eternal twilight I live

Not asking for anything

Only by demanding from myself

Things no one ever dreamed of

*

Hidden in the darkest recesses of their minds

This is why

They tend to sneak, squirm, stoop, and scoop up

The best parts for themselves

*

Without knowing that

Skimming over deep waters

Requires

Resilience, robustness, repentance

*

For all the din

Drumming in the tiny tin world

From the upper class

Biting the lower lip

*

As a result

Of yesterday’s crunchy cringe

At too many credentials

Squealing in the backdrop

*

Of the common folks’ faults

Causing a stir

In someone

Not used to the view of it

*
