In the Face of Challenge
Be tolerant and do not forget those who have done you a favor. Do not appreciate what you have in terms of things, but appreciate what you have around you in terms of people.
The story revolves around two friends set out on a camping trip . At some point during their journey, they had a big fight and one of them slapped the other on the face. The one who was hit felt a lot of pain and sadness, but without saying a word, he wrote on the soft ground
"Today, my close friend slapped me on the face."
They continued walking until they reached a beautiful lake and decided to swim in the lake. However, the young man who was slapped earlier got stuck in a muddy swamp and began to drown. His friend rushed to save him. At that moment, the young man who was almost drowning wrote the following sentence on a large rock:
"Today, my close friend saved my life."
The friend who had slapped him and saved him asked him: "After hurting you, you wrote on the sand, and now you are writing on the rock. Why is that?" The young man replied: "When someone hurts us, we should write their wrongdoing on the sand so that the winds of forgetfulness can erase it. But when someone does us a favor, we must carve it on a rock so that we never forget it and the wind can never erase it."
