In The Dark - Sonnet

A picturesque sonnet

By Matt B.Published 11 months ago 1 min read

It is dark

And the shimmering lights inspire

The moths that carry the dust

The lust the darkness acquires

*

It is dark

And the loneliness beholds

Before dawn before cold

Before the knife makes a hole

*

A path of blood finds the nearest river

Always in the dark

Of a pack of clothes it gets ridden

*

Moths escape to the yell’s rhythm

Always in her mind

The darkest of fairy tales is written
