uncommon, rare things

By Chaia LeviPublished 4 years ago • 1 min read

Digital illustration of Bathymodiolus, a type of deep sea mussel, again pale lilac and white with a circle and soft blue in the background. 02/2023.

rarity breathes in all crevices —

tentative anchorage in soil sapric,

on edges of brine pools suffocating,

and in the tentative hope

of a better night —

moon heavy, bright —

without tears bitter

like if Nabokov had a brain injury
