I stay up

Until

He rises

And it’s illuminating

All around.

Maybe I twirl

like a carnival

Girl,

Lost in my

Blue

Nightgown.

I have a snack

and I

watch

A flick.

I light another

Special

Cigarette.

I rest, I cry, I dream, I pray

I read, I think, I dance, I play

I make a mark across

Every

Day...

Counting.

I’ve given in,

But I won’t give up.

I see

There are stars in

my

Coffee cup,

I won’t lie

I drink them up,

Tasting heaven.

Embrace

my sweet child,

There’s joy in company.

Three cats purr

In perfect

Harmony.

The world may be

Burning

Yet

I’ve never felt

So

Free

Trusting

What

Heals

The Mother

Heals

Me.
