In you I found pride

The vibrancies of life comes with time

Etched in colours, humans are as unique as each astronomical uncovering

In her I found my pride, but it came at a price

Her sun-kissed lips grazed Earth’s silhouette

The same eyes flourished like wildflower when they met mine

For the first time I had felt colour, oh how it drove me wild

Undressed under a stone pine alluring brisk, the cosmos whispered

“I will keep you warm through all the motions, when our love fades the colours will reside in different shades”

Expected to be confined by tradition, my tongue was never tied

It is said everyone requires a plan, instead I questioned life with my bare eyes

Tell me why red is perceived as the wrath in which the devil receives his pride in the griefs of sin

Why is red the radiant woe of love, that will make you see stars in a glimpse

Tell me why blue is for boys and pink is for girls

I will have you know that the hues of blues will play throughout my life

Its like euphoria with Rue she is not purple or rouge

Uniqueness fills our veins with hues, it will have us running in our ruins

What is the colour of sorrow? I asked a soul in which they replied "Its devoid of colour"

Well, I know that’s not true, life is presented in colour

Art is not for the eyes, what do you hear when you see?

Music is not for the ears, what do you envision when you listen?

Life is to feel and in colours we reveal

So, tell me why we misunderstand colours like one another

Its your eyes upon my soul that makes the displacement of my colours unique.
