In our wake

Destruction

By Tara Bryant {A. Pierce}Published 5 years ago 1 min read

Rising oceans,

A warming globe,

Savage storms,

A warning foretold.

minds forming

but stuck in a mold.

they see it they hear it

yet they ignore.

its burning,

smoke so thick.

they're starving

thin and sick

to absorbed

brains like a brick

but the ignorance,

its hurting us.

human life

means so little.

efforts are weak

excuses brittle.

the meek mind

easy to master

lies and deceit.

hate, slurred and spattered

in a world of defeat.

how does one voice matter

riots and violence

the reign of sheep

with arrogant chatter

And cheap entitlements

its swirls and spins

times a constant trial

we see our destruction

Yet still sit idle.

About the Creator

Tara Bryant {A. Pierce}

writing has always been my way of expressing the things i struggle to talk about. Some times the mind goes to dark places but those dark places can be turned into something extraordinarily beautiful too.
