In my opinion

In my opinion the earth is flat,

The seas are orange and the trees are black.

In my opinion Red’s out of line.

Green is golden and rainbows shine.

In my opinion the men aren’t right,

but right is left and wrong is White.

In my opinion there’s too much light

As pixels glow, brain cells take flight.

In my opinion the young are old

Before their time, their youth is sold.

In my opinion time is stolen,

The books unread, the paint is mouldy.

Take time for the minutes,

Take time for the hours,

Take time to express your love for the flowers.

Take time to peruse,

Take time to be slow,

Take time to turn pages and linger and grow.

Turn your face to the sun and away from the fake.

Turn your face to the rain and the pain and the break

of the rhythm of life, make it one once again.

Take time to watch bees, and beings, and be.

Take time to reflect, your soul is a mirror.

Take time to take time, there's always next year.
