In memory of yesterday’s last moments of light as they receded into night, the seconds of splendor before the surrender.

In loving memory of the last sweet drop of wine, from the tip of my tongue where it lingered until it disappeared in my senses.

In remembrance of the final grip that held onto the tasks of today and the ones of tomorrow, and released into slumber.

In memory of a dream that slipped away too quickly, frightened by the impeding structures that are found upon waking.
