Caught red-handed,

And I said,

I know myself, a lie

I know my son, a lie,

I know my husband, a lie,

I know my parents, a lie,

I know my sister, a lie,

I know my brother, a lie,

**

Don't you tell me,

I am nothing but a lie,

disguised as a friend of yours,

carrying the world at the tip of my tongue,

stretching my smile to a mile,

with a lie attached to my style,

to survive the smartest,

galloping the compulsive faults,

lying beyond my control,

to belong,

to sense,

to feel,

to play,

**

Truth but a lie,

I wonder who laid the base,

the words and stories to impress the taste,

a pathological liar, I turned out to be.

About the Creator

Parvathi J

Through my pages, I find the quiet complexities of pain dwelling in a solitary space, burdening life’s endless demands, and unburdening the voiceless noise.

Witnessing the questioning, I speak the deeper silence of my voice.
