and a presentation of its shortcomings

Unfortunately I have been unable to reach you
Busy with meandering and strategic planning of high-calibre Sunday roasts
Involving various different unnamed salamanders
-
The salamanders believe in love insofar as they shrivel and squeeze into various shapes-
As the opportunity presents itself, of course
Haughty in appearance, quibbling in nature
But fundamentally prone to their looming obsolescence
-
Subject to a higher power,
I yearn for shameless peatiness
And resolve the dissonance in my dire cocoon of make-believe
Fuelled by synthetic materials
Plastics, concretes, metals, and the like
But washed away with the very same components rearranged
In a more palatable style
