In Daylight, Even

Juxtaposed realities existing at the same time

By Darcie M. TrembleyPublished 4 months ago • 1 min read

We stand waiting …

side by side

Him and I in line.

In ordinary spaces;

doing mundane things,

With neutral faces.

In daylight ,even …

The energy arrives

like a surgical laser line;

Icy and electric

that quickly scans my spine.

From hips to crown-

Something profound;

Something primal brought clarity.

Instinctively frozen like a doe-

Undeniably.

Aware of what I cannot name;

I know it watches me.

I think to myself:

In daylight, even…

And

what does that make me?

If no one else can see or sense-

What does that make me?

Waiting for the other side

In an extraordinary line.

All this short while knowing

What the veil is clearly showing

That even in the daylight

He won’t see
