In Darkness

I let you go.

By Kassidy HodgenPublished 9 years ago • 1 min read

I lay here in darkness

The silence of the room becons my unstable thoughts

Clawing at my mind like a animal in a cage

The realization knowing that I have lost you like a stone cast into the abyss

As the night lingers on I toss and turn haunted by your face cast against a backdrop of my self-hatred

For I am my worst enemy

Sabotaging anything that gives me life with habits that destroy myself

I wallow here in the darkness knowing

You are gone forever.
