Illusionist in a World of Reality IV

Still refuse to grow up

It's so real now, to be.

I have a love again.

But I do not feel whole.

I am empty.

I am desolate.

I cannot fathom tomorrow

It does not exist.

The paddle wheel turns

and turns

and turns

but my boat goes nowhere

but in pretty circles.

This dry year

though

is no longer dry.

This is water.

This is wine.

Water in my desert life -

things spring

to life, and water

trickles.

I see not the hand

with the water-pot,

but am thankful.

Perhaps now I can

enjoy the love I have

as it was meant to be -

Perhaps I'll no longer be

an illusionist in a world of reality.
