Whenever I'm alone
Whenever I'm cold
In the quietest of tones
I feel a presence great and bold
I try to ignore it
It comes back at me
Even in world concentric
I can see reality
Sometimes it crosses my mind
Sometimes it comes closer
Everything still looks the same
Except for one kind of poser
In the darkness and nights
Such a presence, so strong
Even in the midst of all this light
I know that I haven't been wrong
I wish I could see
I wish I was higher
This presence which truly
Can never ever tire
Finally, I retreat
Into my mental domain
Where I take a seat
While other things still remain
In here I've found comfort
And peace and joy
Still upstairs I feel all the tumult
If only I wasn't to it a toy
If only …..
If only …..
