If I Were in Charge of the World

#VocalNPM

By Megan ArtusPublished 5 years ago 1 min read

If I were in charge of the world I'd cancel snow that fell upon anything but mountains,

Sleepless nights lain awake in frustration,

The need to get ready; you'd be ready at all times.

And also water as the fundamental source needed to sustain life.

If I were in charge of the world there would be-

a World Cup every single summer,

an endless amount of free flights to anywhere and everywhere,

and a library system that would deliver and pick up books from your house.

If I were in charge of the world you wouldn't have mathematics of any kind,

you wouldn't have wind that irritates the eyes,

you wouldn't have piles of overdue laundry,

or "don't get your hopes too high"

you wouldn't even have the ability of too-high-hoping,

for all hopes would be met, always.

If I were in charge of the world Cane's sauce, fry sauce, mayonnaise, and nacho cheese would all be vegetables.

and a person who sometimes forgets where everything she owned was last seen,

and sometimes forgets to smile,

would still be allowed to be in charge of the world.
