If I Was Lore
As mysterious as that thing that lives in the woods
If only I was as mysterious
as the local lore
As elusive as the creature that lives in the woods
that everyone talks about but no one's ever seen
Like a mysterious being that observes the townsfolk
while staying just out of sight
I would be the tales told of a local urban legend
passed down from one generation to another
the stories told of me around campfires would keep me alive
centuries after I'm gone
There would be an allure to my presence
a deep sense of mystery
A presence that would bring forth conflicting feelings of fear and curiosity
People would wonder
second guess
Was my existence only an urban legend?
A figment of their imagination?
If I was as mysterious as the local lore
