If I don’t love you
Everything about you changes
So much so
That I learn your decomposition
And can never unsee it
If I don’t love you
The games I had to play
Just to find the truth
Are aggravating
If I don’t love you
The excuses you wear
The victims mantle
Are tiresome
If I don’t love you
The way you treat my dog
The way you look at her
Infuriates me
If I don’t love you
The way you treat the waiter
The non stop micro aggressions
Are toxic
If I don’t love you
Your fears which stop you from seeing me
Which stop you from being anything
Are everything
If I don’t love you
The way I have to carry you every day
Make excuses for you at every turn
Are exhausting
If I don’t love you
I’m not sure I can like you
And if I’m not sure
I’m not going to think about it twice
