If I could see time

how would it look

like hands on a clock

or pages in a book

If I could see time

could I reach out and grab it?

would it stop for a moment?

just long enough to nab it

If I could see time

what color would it be?

would it be green for go?

or blue just for me?

If I could see time

would the image be clear?

would it be out of focus

or reflect like a mirror?

I keep looking for time

with a glimmer of hope

wanting to hold it back

maybe lasso it with a rope

If I ever see a flicker of time

I hope to catch some for myself

just in case I need some extra

I'll store some on a shelf
