If I could do anything
I’d make it so you could bounce on mushrooms,
And wear a red hat and save a princess,
With your moustache on, just for fun.
*
If I could, I would make sure
You could run as fast as you wanted,
So, you could beat a blue hedgehog
Wearing white gloves.
*
If I could, I’d make you able to fly
Like a superhero in the sky,
Rescuing people
Putting villains away.
*
I can’t do that.
I’m a Mum.
I can make your favourite for dinner, though!
What will it be?

Thank you for sharing this whimsical and heartwarming post. It reminds me of the power of imagination and the importance of nurturing and cherishing the simple pleasures in life, like a special dinner shared with loved ones.💕🥰
You had me at ‘bouncing on mushrooms’! So much fun and loving in this. Fantastic, Ruth. I can so see you writing a children’s book 💕🙂
You are the bestest superhero to ever exist! Awesome poem!
Nice work... Beats what I had Ms. Pac-Man and Donkey Kong doing for me... ;)
So incredibly sweet and hopeful. You know, I think you are on your way to writing a children's book. This is a really great start.
My favorite meal is the one I don't have to make, so I love the superpower that mum has. This was a complete delight to read, and I was imagining myself as each of those things. Loved it, Ruth :)
Oh, you are on fire! This was brilliant. Flawless. Every single word had its place and it just flowed wonderfully! Bravo!
