If God

A poem

If God is real,

He knew his children

We would require a mother.

To nurture,

To guide,

To protect.

She gave us blue skies

And clear seas

Bountiful forests,

Food and medicine.

She provided us with a home.

And how do we repay her?

By inventing money,

Debt,

Terror and bloodshed.

If God is real,

He has seen all.

He has seen the disrespect.

If God is real

It is not him who is angry.

That is why,

As the saying goes…

Hell hath no fury

Than a woman who is scorned,

But they failed to warn you,

To be extra cautious,

If that woman is a mother.
