Identity Theft

The Basement

You stole my identity

And let me breathe among the enemies

Where values are not shared

You might think that in the same culture

Yet it isn’t the same

Because I’ve created entirely my own

Made from pieces of glass, metal, and wood

To expose things in a brand-new hue

Understandable only for me

And solely reachable from my desert island

Sad, lonely, and cold

Yet it is my own piece of world

Wonky, lame, and broken

But I can call it my tiny bit of heaven

Where I can separate myself from others

Barely comprehending what am I doing here

For the future fame

In the shade of my own hard work
