Like life, growing day by day.
Standing atop my iceberg listening for the freezing waves.
With each crashing sound I watch them break and give way
Receding into the distance like my memories of yesterday.
All possibilities fall short attempting to see its depth.
Solid is my iceberg so upon a pillow of snow I slept.
Dreaming to the whale's song as the moon slowly crept.
Somehow I lay motionless yet icy tears I wept.
This Iceberg is mine I engorged it with glacier sized tears.
Try as I might to recollect, let go and persevere.
Though it has grown so mighty, atop I feel sincere.
For I forged it from my frozen heart for my friends of yesteryear.
My story, my burg floating out until light.
Showing the world I am not damned without a fight.
For upon this lonesome quest I embark every night.
Until my Iceberg and I drift toward new horizons, lost and completely out of sight.
