I Won’t Argue Over Tomorrow
We will just live out today

I Won’t Argue Over Tomorrow
I won’t argue over tomorrow,
It has not spoken my name.
Today is all I truly hold,
The rest is wind and flame.
I’ll gather every quiet breath,
Before the daylight fades.
Some roads are drawn in silent ink,
Beyond tomorrow’s shades.
The clock can chase another hour,
I won’t be running too.
This moment holds enough of life,
To carry me right through.
The sunrise owes me nothing more,
Than simply rising still.
Each dawn arrives without a promise,
Yet bends before God’s will.
I’ve wasted years on ‘what ifs’,
On doors not meant to be.
Now I embrace the gift of now,
And let tomorrow free.
The stars will write their stories,
Long after I have slept.
I’ll leave my worries folded small,
With tears I’ve softly wept.
Whatever waits beyond tonight,
Will find me standing tall.
For peace is born inside the heart,
Not waiting for tomorrow’s call.
So I won’t argue over tomorrow,
Nor bargain with the skies.
I’ll treasure every beat today,
Before another sunrise.
