I Wondered Through the Night
a poem
I wondered through the night,
In search of a restful mind.
Caught in Wisdom’s sight,
she asked me, “Who” am I.
I felt I could not say,
for time to time, I change.
The moon reflects my way,
from Full to New I range.
I wonder through the night,
descending downward evermore.
Some creatures hid and some took flight,
but at last I reached her shore.
How is it that you call to me?
And wash me in your waters?
I crave your love and how you see,
my light and all my sorrows.
I wondered through the night,
and found it was a dream.
It helped me heal my haunted plight,
for it was not my state of being.
Mother and darkness are the same;
she holds me in her womb.
Unfortunate people often mistake,
her Darkness for a Tomb.
