I Will Write for You a Friend

if it were that easy...

By T. LichtPublished 2 years ago • 1 min read

I will write for you a friend,

One you never had before,

If you let yourself imagine,

It’ll have everything you asked for.

Paper hands that hug and play,

Make you touch the pelagic sky,

Inky eyes, black full of depth,

Shiny, as if age won’t make it die.

Wispy, frisky, soulful strands

Across the landscape of her face,

Hand drawn to deific perfection

Breathing through the supine space.

Paper feet that dance and skip

Through the pen-marked fields

Stopping at a paper boat

 Swimming through inky spills,

Oh, I’ll write for you a friend,

One you never had before,

Truth is I already started,

But Oops, Oh my! it tore!
