there was a little girl

named pink,

who loved to live.

each day, she would

look at life and

learn from it.

one day, life showed

her a hard lesson

and pink felt

something new and sad.

from that day on,

she would still learn

from life,

but she no longer

loved to live.

life asked her,

after observing this

change in pink,

”why have you stopped loving me?”

pink thought, then said,

“because you taught me a

hard lesson

and i don’t think i can

love to live anymore.

nothing is as i thought it was,”

life smiled and said,

“pink, you will learn

many a hard lesson

and will you allow

each one to steal

your love

or teach you love?”

pink pondered:

as i am now,

i can not take on life,

in love or hard lessons.

so i must change, i must grow.

when she looked up,

the smile of life greeted her

and chuckling, said,

”pink, you have changed.

you have grown

and you are no longer pink,

but sienna.

for your love for life

is coated with wisdom

and you will never

be the same.”

and sienna smiled as well,

because she loved life again.
