I Want, Me.

"Am I afraid of the honesty...?"

I Want, Me.

Am I afraid of the honesty?

Do I fear the truth?

Is the familiar feeling inside…

Where I find the proof?

For it comes and it goes...

Relentless as the wind.

As my knowledge it grows…

I lose it all again.

Suddenly uncertainty…

Is all I have inside of me.

This man that I have grown to be…

Is far from where I Want Me.

A calling…A promise…

From the great divine.

Leaves me searching, Questioning…

All that is my life.

A shell…

This body, a prison to my mind.

It ages, Breaks down…

Left behind in dusts of time.

Suddenly uncertainty…

Is all I have inside of me.

This man that I have grown to be…

Is far from where I Want Me.

Suddenly uncertainty…

Is all I have inside of me.

This man that I have grown to be…

Is far from where I Want Me.

Oh Courage… Oh passion.

Oh Wisdom estranged…

God won’t you grant me the serenity…

To accept What I cannot change.

Suddenly uncertainty…

Is all I have inside of me.

This man that I have grown to be…

Is far from where I Want Me.

Suddenly uncertainty…

Is all I have inside of me.

This man that I have grown to be…

Is far from where I Want Me.

I have been writing Poetry since I was a teenager. Now in my late thirties I enjoy it more than ever. I find it a wonderful release and it helps me to free my mind and understand myself and my emotions.
