I wanna be a dream

Poem

By Maryam BatoolPublished 4 months ago • 1 min read

For this time,

Just this once

I don’t wanna be a choice

I wanna be a dream

I wanna be someone who’s asked not told

I wanna be a boss for once, be bold

I wanna be a fire, a desire, the one to hire

I wanna be a hope, the one to throw the rope

I wanna be the earth, a worth, maybe a re-birth

I wanna sing my verse, rehearse, to the universe

I wanna say no, ten times in a row

I wanna have glow, to flow, this time not slow

I wanna choose, for once, not the one being chosen

For this time,

Just this once

I swear, I wanna feel ME, some glee, I wanna feel free

I wanna grow out sprouts, I wanna be a tree

I wanna write my fate, I wanna be the pen

I wanna act my will, I wanna be the men

I wanna be a star, a war, a leader of the bar

I wanna be a king, a thing, the one who puts a ring

.

.

A/N:

I’m feeling like getting my mental health back together. I just wish I make it to the end.
