Verse 1

The headlines burn like flaming scars,

Promises broken, deceit written in the stars.

We warned you of the storm, but the thunder still came,

Now we’re all stuck in the fire, playing the blame game.

Pre-Chorus

Every echo rings from the past we know,

A chorus of voices saying “I told you so.”

Chorus

Four years of hatred, four years of pain,

Living in this nightmare we can’t get away.

From Every broken promise, every heavy blow,

It’s a world on repeat of “I told you so.”

I told you so I told you so I told you so

Oh yeah i told you so

We’re singing survival instead of a happy song.

A chorus of voices saying “I told you so.”
