Something unusual...

has happened to me.

Again.

On nights that are calm as a purring cat

the air balmy and effusive

and sparkle skies promising sparkle dreams

I dream of twister

leaving a path of destruction in its wake

and heading straight for

Me.

The bottom drops out

and my animal instincts take over

Sometimes I run

Sometimes I freeze

In any case

I always survive.

The nightmare has found me

once more

on my birthday no less

and again I've found

that the nightmarish dream is simply

a perfectly timed

premonition.

Sparkle skies turn

and the wind beckons

A warning emanates from my phone

"Seek shelter immediately!"
