I think it was a sausage

Whimsical

By Donald Knowledge NhiraPublished about a year ago • 1 min read

I Think It Was a Sausage Last night I dreamed my socks could sing, And toast was queen and ruled the spring. A waffle drove a limousine, And teabags danced in jellybean. I flew a kite made out of cheese, Through jelly skies and custard breeze. A penguin barked, “The muffins bite!” While eggs played poker through the night. Then came a creature, round and bold, With ketchup stripes and mustard gold. It spun on forks, it juggled peas, And burped out rhymes like “Sneeze trapeze!” Its voice was fried, its belly rolled, It wore a cape of bacon cold. It said, “Beware the cereal king He’s turned my cousins into bling!” I blinked and asked, “Excuse me, sir? Are you a ham? A wurst? A blur?” It sighed, did squats, then tap-danced thrice “I think I was a sausage… once or twice.” Then poof! It vanished with a fart, That smelled like beans and modern art. A pancake slapped me in the face, And syrup birds began to race. I woke up tangled in my sheet, With jelly on my hairy feet. And though it sounds completely fake There’s sausage footprints on my cake. The Knowldgetic Steroid AkA Donald Knowledge Nhira
