I Still See

A poem in remembrance of September 11, 2001

By Jason APublished 2 months ago • 1 min read

To all those lost that fateful day and all those who have risen up since

On that day

The towers fell

And the ashy skies turned to gray

Like a vision from hell

-----

And a Pennsylvania field

Took a a thunderous hit

While a chunk of our defensive wall

Was blown to bits

-----

I still see it all

Clear as day

My mind won't let it

Ever slip away

-----

But I also see the hope

The great unity

When we came together

As the land of the free

-----

Evil would not win

Justice and love wouldn't allow it you see

We need to remember

The best we can be
