I sleep with dragons

no one else can see.

They breath truth into my ears

with soft exhalations,

holding me in a scaled embrace,

leaving imprints against my cheek,

swatting away the nightmares.

Invisibility makes them no less real;

their whispered secrets wind

through my dreams.
