I sit

People by Randy Nevels

By Randy NevelsPublished 5 years ago • 1 min read

I sit here and wait till I disappear.

I long to be somewhere, that somewhere not here.

I lay in this room in this place on this rock

free to roam but I feel my room door is now locked

I feel afraid when there’s nothing to fear

I don’t want to go I don’t know why I’m here

What is there to do when you don’t care to chose

the next step in life because you are confused

To type and write words would be much fun,

but what spins from my pen I can share with no one

I look at my past and get lost just because

no one else or myself can tell me who I was

So much to be said but how can that help

when there’s no one to listen to me but myself

I keep my thoughts and my feelings inside

From the pain of rejection and hatred I hide

I sit in silence yet I hear everything

I don’t understand what anything means

I look for answers to incomplete questions

Your answer can’t help cause I know that you guessed them

So I sit here and wait till I disappear

I long to be somewhere, that somewhere not here

In end I will see that there’s something I missed

I long to be somewhere that didn’t exist
