I'm not bowing down to be your lover,

When will you learn,

I'm not your mother,

If you think she's better,

Go be with her,

There is no one else like me,

You won't find another.

I'll live my life in song,

I'm done trying to prove you wrong,

I'd rather live my life,

Than be trapped in this prison,

There is no point in understanding

your reason.

It's not my problem,

If you find my jeans too tight,

Or I'm the wrong height,

I'm way to adult to start this fight.

I signed my name on your heart,

I gave my all;

You chose to part.

I found my happiness,

After you left,

I built my world while

yours fell down.

Judge me all you want for

writing this poem,

I'm still going strong,

After your wrongs.

So;

If you want to try,

Go ahead;

Try and break it,

'cause at the end of the day,

I'm the one who made it!
