I Saw an Old Man

It just keeps layering on, doesn't it?

By Judey Kalchik Published 2 months ago • 1 min read

Follow along daily as I build out this rhyme.
As of September 1 I've posted up to Part five on Threads, and I'm adding to it each day.
I've combined it with a daily countdown that I've maintained since January 2025.
__________

I saw an old man
who thought we swallowed his lies
I don't know why
he just feeds us lies
perhaps I'll try

I saw an old man that started a war
Lied about the reasons? no one know for sure
He started a war to distract from his lies
but I don't know why he just tells us lies
too many have died

I saw an old man that renamed a Lake
by using a Sharpie- that name is just fake
he renamed a lake to distract from a war
started a war to distract from his lies
but I don't know why he just tells us lies
too many have died

I saw an old man that dissolved USAID
stopped tracking the glaciers that drowned a city
He stopped tracking USAID to distract from the files
he renamed a lake to distract from a war
Started a war to distract from his lies
but I don't know why he just tells us lies
too many have died

I saw an old man that made his own crypto
he's the only one that made money, you know
he made crypto to skim from the poor
he stopped USAID to distract from the files
he renamed a Lake to distract from a war
he started a war to distract from his lies
but I don't know why he just tells us lies
too many have died
