I Sat With an Angel

I sit at the table.

By A Cool Guy on a CornerPublished 8 years ago • 1 min read

I sat with an angel

She handled a pen with prowess

Her print perfect without allowance

I sat with an angel

Her eyes burning green

My dazzled eyes gone over with sheen

I sat with an angel

Her soul it entranced me

Watched in awe the birds from their canopy

I had myself no angel

No one shaking me down with mirth

No one beside me on the cold and lonely earth

I am an angel

I'll shake the world with joy

I sit at the table

Gone is the sad and angry boy
