I Rather Be

I rather be alone than to be around someone that don’t listen to me,

I rather be alone than beg for your attention,

I rather be alone than being with a person who only continues to insult my intelligence,

I rather be alone than to deal with your bullshit,

I rather be alone because I love me,

I rather be alone because I’m not somebody else you dream about,

I’m only me,

maybe I come with some baggage,

I’m not perfect, only flawed,

but I aim for perfect,

I work my ass to be better than the old me,

I try to provide open kindness with all my heart,

I rather be alone than to let you destroy my character,

only for what you want
