Although it is hard and I do not want to, I promise you I will try. I promise I will do everything I can to keep you off my mind. I promise I will not wait for your text, I will not look into the window of every black truck I see, I promise to avoid your street every chance I get.
I promise not to listen to sad songs that explain every detail of our past. I promise I will not speak of you to my friends, I promise to never believe your lies again.
I am going to move on, I am going to be free. I won't feel crazy, I won’t feel like I missed out. I will be content with my heart being mine and mine only.

The problem with being a nice person
Who would have thought that being a nice person could be problematic. The majority of people would tell you that’s what they want to be or at least want those around them to be, but as it turns out, what we want and what we say we want are worlds apart. I won't stress or ramble on about how I would like things to be, but I’ll just analyze why this is, I am not sure either if a solution is even possible.
