I Pray

I pray that love opens up to wonder and beauty

that thing that only Grace brings

I pray for all the simple things to embrace and

enhance all of my dreams

I pray for all life as the stars brighten the sky - I

pray for the tenderness that comes from the wind

deep in the night

I pray for new beginnings somehow to sprout from

within, just to make things right

most of all... I pray for you Lord, to please show us

Mercy as we struggle through this life

we need your guidance to show us the way... the way

up and out of the darkness so deep

Dear Lord, I pray to be a glimmer of that painting you

saw so many years ago - that Spirit inside of me

so that I may live life as you foresaw and finally embrace

my destiny
