“I’M GOOD FOR IT”

Rest Nest Rejuvenate

Spiraling out of a ruckus

sparred by the enemy,

fueled by the ramblings

of the mind.

Soiled every trace where sin

was left behind,

not a casual acquaintance

but a fermented frame.

Tormented in the gaze

as I looked away -

Walking forward ten steps ahead.

Looked like the movement

was perched in hindsight -

In reality the repeated pattern

kept me walking in a circular motion.

Wanting off the merry-go-round

the circumference of sin kept

me in a figure-eight anamoly,

was never meant to make me -

but break me into the things

that blindsided my stance.

Oh yeah, sin is only good for a season.

The circular path was my clue -

kept repeating the same mo,

over and over again.

Just when I thought

my momentum to rise above

it all, had shifted.

The dark rails of the tare kept

holding me back in the place

called misery -

Calling my name and

wanting my company;

all set in stone

a tug of war with words,

unleashed on the sin shack.

Harnessed in my mind blending in with time.

Arrested with the changing of the guard -

changed the tune resetting the atmosphere,

to begin again and the eggs were

hatched.

What He commanded

couldn't be figured out,

Why He placed me

at a resting phase in the 11th hour,

frankly made no earthly sense,

only to cause me to nest.

Prompting a rest soliciting me

to rejuvenate quietly;

was it strategy or the All Knowing,

administering medicine through prayer -

Just when I needed it most

His quintessential ways

starting a fresh settles the bill -

a relenting rest to nest,

clearing the mind - canceling the soul ties

leaving everything behind -

no traces of sins pit,

a trap laid out for me to fall into.

Enemy blinded by its

own death traps -

never realizing what they cursed

for others they caused for themselves.

While I rested and nested

the blood of Jesus was

the remedy to wash away the fetters.

The place He pulled me from,

went on a sin bender unknowing

God was not pleased,

with their concessions to sin.

His rescue in the nick of time,

settled me in a nesting frame of mind

visible only to the eyes of The Lord.

Rejuvenating my soul,

clearing out all the cobwebs -

of the enemies tactics and

tearing down the empathetic walls,

meant to derail me and

suffocate me from within.

In the end God had spoken and

it couldn't be annulled.

His resounding words,

from the start of the mission,

“I’m Good For It”.
