I LOVE YOU

But I hate you

 [][][][][][][][]

 I love the rain,

It makes the grass green –

And makes it grow faster

Than I’ve ever seen.

 [][][]

 It’s good for the grass

And good for the trees.

The wildlife is happy –

From the birds to the bees.

 [][][]

 But there is a part

Of the rain that I hate.

Driving in it

Is a predictable fate.

 [][][][]

 It never fails

Once I get in the car,

I’ll see the cloud

That isn’t too far.

 [][][]

 A drop on the windshield

Is just the beginning.

Before too long,

The wipers are singing.

 [][][][]

 The road is wet,

A driver’s lament.

Drive a bit slower

Or be heaven sent!

 [][][]

 Now on the road,

The rain is a downpour.

The car in front me?

I see no anymore.

 [][][]

 Home once again,

Wouldn’t you know?

The rain cloud is gone

The sun puts on a show.

 [][][][]

 The sky is so blue,

Not one cloud in sight.

I guess I’ll stay home

And call it a night!
