I Lost My Words, Now the Poem Can’t Come
Slowly I will pickup the pieces

I Lost My Words, Now the Poem Can’t Come
I lost my words, they slipped away,
Like whispers fading into day.
The rhythm stalled, the rhyme fell still,
A quiet ache I can’t fulfill.
The thoughts that once would freely flow,
Now hide in shadows, soft and low.
The page, once bright, now blank and bare,
A silence hangs in empty air.
I search for sparks, for light, for sound,
But in the stillness, none are found.
The lines I held, they slip and fall,
And I, the poet, lose it all.
I lost my words, the poem’s gone,
A fleeting thought that once shone on.
I’ll wait, though time may come and go—
For when it’s right, the words will flow.
But in the quiet, something stirs,
A spark, a flicker, soft as fur.
The silence speaks, though faint at first,
And from it rises, the verse I thirst.
