I take wing.

Of the end of the world and crumbling society

I’m all eyes.

Of vampires and lore

I’ve sucked it all in.

Of taxes and 401k’s

I’m overdue.

Of socializing and conversation

I’m speechless.

Of Starbucks and champagne

I’m as good as decaf and airplane bubbly.

Of the world of books

or the waking world,

I’ll be nose deep in a book,

Not nose deep in the six o'clock news.
