I Live On

Should I depart early from life,

Do not mourn the loss of me

For I will never truly be gone.

Here is how I can be found:

See me as I move through the baton of a boisterous conductor.

You can hear me in the sonorous voices of children singing.

Listen for me. I'm in the hands of an instrumentalist.

Feel me as you sway or dance to a favorite tune.

That strong beat is at the heart of me.

From booming bass to soaring trills,

Ripples of sound carry on,

Echoing for generations.

I am eternal.

Hear me

See me

Feel me

I live on.

I am music.
