I have learned to live simply and wisely.

Looking at the sky and praying to God.

I have learned to wander long before nightfall

To fatigue the excess of restlessness.

When the burdock rustles in the canyon.

The red and yellow bunches of rowan fruit hang low.

I write down happy verses -

about the perishable life, which is perishable and gorgeous.

  I'm back. The fuzzy cat.

  purring gently, licking my palms.

On the tower of the lakeside sawmill.

  shines brightly.

The silence is occasionally broken by

A white stork chirps and flies up to the roof.

If you come knocking at my door.

I don't think I could even hear it.
