I Jump

...Or I Fall

Something i wrote a long time ago after witnessing a woman kill herself in public, i was feeling similarly at the time but writing about the situation really helped

Leaving the background

As many all stare down

Think about what you have done

Watching you falling

There’s no time for warning

As you silently call out for help

Is this what you wanted

Your pain will now haunt

Your life is a tragedy now

Now you know what it’s like to fly

Did you not see that you would fall?

Is it worth never having to say goodbye?

Worth not living at all?

You fall…

And we watched you falling

We’ve all had that feeling

Where there’s comfort in leaving

But something was holding us back

Tears on the carpet

Lids of the darkness

What saves us?

Its screaming out loud

Where you really that lonely

With no one worth holding

To call your name into the crowd

So now you know what it’s like to fly

Could you not see that you would fall?

Is it worth not having to say goodbye?

Worth not living at all?

You fall…

Could we stop you falling?
