Apparently you don't realize that I don't need you
I don't need you to make me smile
I don't need you to get me by
I have me
I have me to work for my own money
I have me to make myself smile and laugh
I can pay my own bills, buy my own clothes, and make my own decisions
I can take care of myself
I'm more than capable of making a name for myself without you
Don't confuse the meaning of a want and a need
Don't make yourself seem more important than you actually are to me
Don't think that you cannot be replaced
Don't think that just because I don't want to let you go that I wont
Don't exaggerate the role that you play in my life
Don't think that you have some kind of control over me
Don't let the love that I have you go to your head
Don't make an enemy out of me because you want to hold onto your pride
I'm just trying to refresh your memory
And remind you that I had a life before you came into the picture
Ill continue to have one when you leave it
Because I still have me
